September 3, 2019: The Storyteller’s Reputation long-listed for historical fiction award

Returning to my hotel after a day exploring medieval Rouen, I was excited to get the news:  The Storyteller’s Reputation has been long-listed for the 2019 Chaucer Book Award for pre-1750’s Historical Fiction. See more here, and here’s an except from the Chanticleer Book reviews website:

It’s wonderful to be included in this group of talented historical fiction writers, and I’m crossing my fingers as I await the short-list announcement!

Your trip pics are making me jealous…

    • Hey thanks Annie. Not sure how critically relevant the competition is (it seems to be built as more of a marketing tool for writers), but it all helps!

  2. Congratulations John, job well done! Our fingers are crossed that you will be on the “short list”. Maria
Chaucer was an interesting person adding a fictional twist could be the draw a reader is looking for. Jim
